On the 19th, the Ministry of Science and ICT announced the 15 companies finally selected for the 2022 Global ICT Future Unicorn Development Project.

This project, which started in 2020, is a project that discovers promising small and medium-sized enterprises and venture companies in the ICT convergence field and supports them in expanding overseas and providing funds (investment and loans). A total of 30 future unicorn companies have received support to date. These companies achieved 260.7 billion won in investment, 249 billion won in sales, 810 jobs created, and 450 patent applications and registrations.

Companies in various fields, including artificial intelligence (AI), software (SW), and Internet of Things (IoT), applied for this year's contest, and 15 companies, including Rosettatech, were finally selected. They will receive support such as credit guarantees, investment attraction linkage, performance guarantee insurance support, and overseas local childcare programs. It will be carried out through public-private cooperation with related organizations such as the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).

Song Sang-hoon, Director of Information and Communication Industry Policy at the Ministry of Science and ICT, said, “Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is playing an important role in the advent of the second venture boom, with domestic unicorn companies in the ICT field accounting for 77.8% of all unicorn companies.” “We will actively support promising companies in the information and communication technology field to help them grow into future unicorns.” .
