The Ministry of Science and ICT (Minister Lee Jong-ho) recognized technological prowess and selected 14 start-ups (initial ventures) to support credit guarantees, investment attraction links, and overseas childcare programs.
On the 30th, Minister Lee Jong-ho participated in the ‘Global ICT Future Unicorn Fostering Company Certificate Award Ceremony’ in Yongsan Dragon City, Seoul, and gave certificates to selected companies.
This is a project to help the government discover information and communication technology (ICT) companies with high global growth potential so that they can grow into future unicorn companies. It first started supporting in 2020 and has supported a total of 30 promising companies by last year. Investment attraction of KRW 260.7 billion, sales of KRW 249 billion, job creation of 810 people, and patent registration of 392 were achieved.
This year, 14 companies were selected in various fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), self-driving service, cyber security, and semiconductor materials.

Rozetatech is a smart fire and disaster solution development company. Ringle English Education Service is a non-face-to-face online English education service. Bestella Lab is a self-driving car parking navigation solution company. Stayfolio is a lodging relay platform company.

The Credit Guarantee Fund provides credit guarantees of up to 10 billion won for three years (up to 10 billion won per company, including facility funds, and up to 5 billion won in operating funds).
Minister Lee Jong-ho said, “The role of innovative startups and ventures with creative ideas and challenging spirit is important for the new government’s national task of ‘realizing a hegemonic state in the digital economy.’” We will actively support it so that it can leap from a company to a unicorn company.”
