A fire broke out at the Smile Donuts store in Yeokgok Sangsang Market in Yeokgok-dong, Bucheon, around 7:15 a.m. on January 6.

The fire was caused by a cat touching the stove while the owner was away, and as soon as the SmartCol detector detected the smoke, the owner of the nearby store responded quickly and was put out before firefighters were dispatched.
"Thanks to the text from the SmartCol, I was able to catch it before the fire got bigger. When the fire broke out, I realized how effective it is to install such a system," said the owner of the Smile Donuts store.
